Ah, anything of Miyazaki's is good, though he only does movies--Grave of the Fireflies, Spirited Away, Castle in the Sky, etc. You can still get 'em, though, and they're just... wow. The quality, the attention to detail, the overall care they put in to those shows... Wow.

On a cute, shoujo note, you can't go wrong with Card Captor Sakura. DO NOT get Cardcaptors, though! They KILLED it! They made everybody frikkin BRATS!!! *seethe* Heh. But CCS is about the cutest thing you'll ever see. Guaranteed.

On a romantic note, Kimi ga Nozomu Eien is sooo sweet. ^-^ TOTALLY romantic, nothing else to it, just pure romance. Alright, one, two, three--aaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwuu! Not sure where you'll get it, though, if you don't have mIRC.

On a deeeep note, there's... Lemmesee. Serial Experiments Lain. Haibane Renmei. (Both of those are by the same person, btw.) Both of them are supposed to make you think. They're also frikkin annoying, cuz they leave so many questions dangling. Of course, that's part of the wonderful thing about 'em. I've heard Ghost in the Shell is good, but I haven't looked in to it, so I can't vouch for that. dothack is good, especially if you really like future-of-computers things. I've only watched .hack//SIGN, though, so I can't tell you about //DUSK or //KEY OF THE TWILIGHT (that what it's called?). Ah, Gunslinger Girl is really good, but there's blood... and fighting... and a cliched premise... But somehow they make it good. They think a lot more about emotions than the guns, really.

On a cute, kid's note, I'd have to say... I dunno. Digimon is cute, but it's like Pokemon in that the monsters fight each other and junk. I think there's more to it than that, though...

Uh, yeah. Anything by CLAMP, I'd say, and anything by Rumiko Takahashi (Ranma, Maison Ikkoku, Inuyasha, Mermaid Tale...). Although I must say, I think CLAMP's manga are better than most of their shows that I've seen, excepting CCS. Manga's great--you can fit it in your purse, you can take it anywhere, it doesn't have to be rewound or anything, it's purdy, and it doesn't give out any signals that mess with hospital equiptment and junk... So my advice? Find yo'self some MANGA!!!
