I've been a Zipcar member for a year or so now and I've recently moved from the Village to Carroll Gardens, which is one of those hip new nabes these days I guess. Anyhow, I've been walking by a bunch of private Minis and Priuses and other cars on my sidewalk and finding myself with a hankering to take a Mini on a spin out of town. But to my chagrin, all we have in Brooklyn are the more boring members of the fleet (no disrespect to Golfs and Jettas, but it's true). Throw us a bone. Allow me to take a more interesting car on a drive without an hour subway ride to the upper west side. Thank you.

Ah well, I understand you have to gauge markets and demand for vehicles, but I figured there was no harm in asking.

Well, it looks like we just got a different car showing up (A Mazda 3), so I suppose I can flatter myself into believing my little cantankerous rant made a difference. In any event, thanks a lot Zipcar and keep up the good work!

I live in Brooklyn Heights and would also really like a Mini, a BMW, and/or a Volvo close by. The only car I can get that's near me is a Ford Focus. This is by far the most boring, and worst car in your fleet. Atleast replace them all w/ Mazda 3s.
