Hi I started converting AVI files in to MPEG a few days ago using TMPGen and then burning it with Nero6 as VCD. I was wondering if there is an option in which I would be able to get rid or reduce the Black-Horizontal lines above and beneath the picture as I’m converting from AVI to MPEG.

Are the black bars there in the original source material? It almost sounds like you have a video that has an aspect ratio that is wider than a standard television, and Nero is padding the video to make it VCD compliant.
