Twice Divorced Presbyterian--Need Annulment to Marry Catholic?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Catholic : One Thread

I am a twice divorced Presbyterian woman seriously dating a devout Catholic who wishes to marry in the Catholic church.

My first marriage was in a Presbyterian church. I was baptized prior to this marriage and I believe my first husband was as well, but it was 10 years ago and I really cannot remember if he was or not.

My 2nd marriage was in a wedding chapel in Las Vegas (not even sure if it was an ordained minister who married us) and I'm not if sure my 2nd husband was ever baptized or not.

Does it sound like I will require annulments in order to marry in the Catholic church?

Answers

-short answer is yes, both marriages will require investigation.

I would suggest you speak with a Catholic Priest (preferably in the Catholic Parish you would intend to marry) regarding the details.
