Response to another pslam of Zarove

another paslm of Zarove

1.Oh God turn to us for our salvation, we turn to thee now, even after such failures as we have known.

2. We fall Oh Lord, for our failing to live as thou hast made us, and fall into dispare as we lead ourselves astray.

3. Turn our minds to thee, of Lord, that we may be saved.

4. how long will our prayers offend thee, how long will thou no answer us, in our suplication.

5. Thou fed us and gave us drink, and all we needed, and still we did not what thou made us for.

6. We had strife amongs our firneds, and our enemies lauhged and mocked, and grew prosperous as we suffered, yet always calling on thy name, they grew with delight as we fell to ruin.

7. Turn to us then, that we may be saved.

8. Thou who hast planted the seeds of Faith within us.Let thy powr and word grow.

9. Thou prepaired room for it, gav eit deep roots, and all it needdd to grow. Thou panted it firmly in slid ground.

10. But grew it did not, for it drew utsself away, and now in bitterness the lant thou gaves the est spot seems to wither, thou thou gavest it the best spot and most fertile ground, and watered it well.

11. Save this meager plant oh Lord, now that it hath wilted, and htou hast given up, for now it buds, btu needs its gardner.

12. Bring us up oh Lord, and help us live, give not yet thy plant away, and turn tyself not form this unfruitful vine, or now it tries ot podice, and now it needs thy help..for it to be saved.

I like your hymns, zarove. They are well done.

I have a question for you,Zarove, why still keep the thy and thyne of the King James, 400 years old, and substitute for modern words?

After all, we play music from Bethoven, Bach, Verdi, Vivaldi, Mozart,... yet we don't create new music under those styles anymore. Music in my opinion represents an era.

Writing does too.

That is how we are able to date documents.

Actually, we do create Music in the same style as Mozart, Beethovan. Bach, and Vivaldi.

Beethovan and Mozart wrote classical, and many Major Motion Pictures, for instance, likewise compose classical peices, John illiams is famous for this, in such compositions as Indiana Jones, Star Swars, and 2001, a Space Oddessey.

Frances Ford Coppella also cnposed Classical, such as "Fanfare for the Common Man", used in those annoying " Beef, its whats for Dinner" ads.

Likewise, the linguistic style of my poetry is High enlgish as it is a mor epoetic form of the english Language.Besides, My poerty shoudl fit my Bible,a nd I use the KJV.

Uh, John Williams does not have a hint of originallity in his compositions. The man has "barrowed" many motives from the great masters of music. Every motion picture soundtrack that Williams has created utilizes original compositional motives that are not his own.

"Jaws"==Stravinsky, "Rite of Spring".

"Star Wars"==Gustav Holst, "The Planets".

"Raiders of the Lost Ark"==I can hear Rimsky-Korsakov, hints of "Scheherazad", Mussorsky, "Pictures at an Exhibition".

Just to name a few.

Ok, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Williams is well versed in the great masterpieces.

Their are other composers who compose the classics these days. Wiliams was merley the emidiate example, as was Copeland.

Thoug Copeland is lign sence dead.

I recentlyheard a new composiiton peice in CHattanooga, written just this year, in Clasical Style.

Its not relay dated.

My music appreciation teacher at Compton college brought records for us too hear. The one at the University of Dominguez Hills, Mr. Bialovsky did the same. We had to memorize the music. He tested us on it. They used to say cartoons and the movies usually borrow segments from the classical composers.

Example: The Lone Ranger (the original TV program).

Rossini: "The William Tell Overature" , that's the Lone Ranger to you and me.

Shoot! we had to analyze tons of music: Early Church Music, Palestrina to Wagner, Debussy to Schoenberg, Ives to Cage to P.D.Q. Bach.

I loved every note of it.

Music is dated?

That's almost like saying that one style is "better" than another, Zarove. That's like mixing apples and oranges. Every style is unique. Every composer is unique. Melismatic music (Gregorian Chant stuff) has its unique-ness. That music has the power to isolate our souls into focus with God. Handel's "Allelujah Chorus" brings joys of hope in bringing a shared feeling of expression previously unknown or unrevealed by mortals. Beethoven!.........I have a faculty meeting; I might continue with this later.

Jazz, Big bands,...Rock from the 50s is different from the 60s. There is the Motown sound. Disco from the 1970s and 1980s is different. Then Heavy metal and alternative. ...and the beat goes on, and the beat goes on...

Same is Spanish. Corridos, baladas, boleros, rancheras, Chachacha, salsa, mabo, rocanrol, grups de los 70s, ...rock en Espanñl, rap en español,....Maná,....

Let's not forget merengue.

Jazz? yup, let's include Klepner--wonderful jazz with that Jewish influence.

(Is it "Klepner" or "Klesner", jeepers, I've forgotten!?)
