I just recieved my Sonar Onestep SX-70 and I have tried taking a few pictures but I cannot focus correctly. I know that the camera has an autofocus system but it keeps "autofocusing" to the closest range, and when I move the dial to manually focus it overrides my setting (to that mentioned closest range) when I press the shutter regardless. Can anyone point me in the right direction of what to else try?

When you manually focus do you just move the dial or do you switch the lever 1st? You probably know this, but there is a little switch you need to activate to manually focus the sonar. When I'm in a hurry I don't bother with the switch and often times I pull back let it focus close then push in again to shoot past the foreground.
