I am actually a ZIPCAR host in Washington, DC, but I have a question. One of my neighbors told me that there are special rates for overnight use...I notice that the car is often gone overnight. Why can't I find anything on the site about this? What are the rates? When do they go into effect? Are there any other "hidden" deals--like weekly rentals?

There are no special rates for overnight usage, there are special rates for daily usage (per 24 hours), which can include overnight.

Slightly misleading answer--assuming you are below your maximum daily rate (see below), rental hours from midnight to six a.m. are half-price.

Most of my overnight rentals, and I'd bet a lot of other people's, are accounted for by planning a trip that gets them up to 80% or so of the maximum daily rate and then just thinking, "oh what the heck, let me get the car for a full 24 hours so I have more flexibility and maybe go out late at night when I otherwise wouldn't."
