Unsigned expenditure form

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Repossession : One Thread

If a personal expenditure form is sent back unsigned does this mean that we have acknowlaged the debt. Also, does the debt collection agency have the right to see any wage slips or other personal documents. If not, what do they have to do to force me to send them

Hi Jeff

Under s30(1) Limitations Act 1980, an acknowledgment has to be in writing and signed, although a typed signature on a email or telex would be sufficient.

All the best

I answer the second question. Yes the companies do have a right to request copies of personal documentation to back up the expenditure form.
