Sounds like you've been a naughty boy! closing the torrent stright after you finished downloading. Or it could be something you've installed thats screwed up bit torrent but seeing as you diden't say if you did installed anything, Iam saying you've been leeaching and have been banned

Are you using a firewall, if so set the ports to 443 instead of the 6000 ones, it works much better.

i am using a norton antivirus, but my parents wont allow me to touch it cuz there is too many virus going on right now...

If you had it on before you started to get 0 kb then it's no problem. but if you installed it after then you have blocked bittorrent and need to let it thru the firewall to connect to the tracker.

Look at the fire wall then find the allowed programs and blocked program page/option. if you see bittorrent delete it and save the change. now start up bittorrent and the firewall will ask if bittorrent is allowed to connect to the net. click yes and check always allow. Thats it.

Don't do what Scott says and open up port 443 as no tracker i know of uses that port. But i do know of back doors, trojan and viruses that uses that port.

I just give you the info what you do is up to you. Open it at your peril

Maybe you should have someone d/l the stuff for you before you know more about how computers work. No offense, but someone who doesn't know what a url is shouldn't try to use filesharing applications.

i have no idea where to find the blocking and program page/ opinion thing. i had fire wall a long long long time ago, but when i am downloading other stuff with bittorrent, it was just fine. i really think i should ask somebody to download for me, but all the friends i have is worse than me!! i might be a beginner to the computer, but guess what, i know what's url now!!!(haha)

Seeing as you have little knowledge of computers, i can be of no help to you as i have not the patience or the time to walk you thru the process.

I would suggest you ask someone in your house hold that has some knowledge of computers to look at it.

yeah, i need someone to help me... i did try, but since we are new to america, their english sucks. and all the firends i have only know how to use microsoft word and messengers. hey, does anyone have a chinese or japanese guides or stuff like that?

There's no guide even in english. All you can do is play around with the program and learn from it. Windows is not hard Linux is.

If you still get 0 kb go to another site and see if you can download from them if you can then it's just one tracker that your banned from. Remember to keep your self off the banned list seed what you downloaded. If you downloaded 100 mb then upload 100mb thats called seeding and thats the whole point of bittorrent.

Here's a link for you to test if your getting thru to the tracker

http://btfaq.com/natcheck.pl

Start any bittorrent and click on details in the bittorrent window. Look for info_hash copy and paste the numbers and letters into where it says "Enter the hash ID of the torrent" (thats on the page i gave you above) If you have only one torrent open then you don't need to change the "Enter the port number to test" Leave it at 6881.

When you have entered the port number and the hash info click on "run test now" button. this will then try to connect to your bittorrent. If it can then your firewall is not blocking bittorrent and your problem lies else where. If it can't connect that means your firewall is blocking bittorrent from the net and you need to find out how to let it thru. If it can connect it may also mean your behind a proxy/router, thats is another problem altogether.

Good luck.
