Down again, 924pm BST

Just as well, I suppose.

Aye - just as well.

I'm pretty depressed at the moment. 2 weeks hols - back to work tomorrow. Lot has happened.

Stunning timing unless Sir Bob has left them some names to buy to play C/Half.

NOTBBC has become as unreliable as this place used to be. Actually, the last couple of times I've tried to get on here it's been down also.

Well IT finally happened today, and while I knew it had to be done it hasn't made it any easier.

Lots of emotions, and while we can never know the truth of what has gone on behind the scenes at SJP I suspect Bobby is taking the blame for a whole cellar full of shit - some of his own making, and some created by others.

The turning point of Bobby's fortunes is widely felt to be the 2-6 v ManU last season. However, I believe it came somewhat earlier. Our failure to strengthen that close season and the underlying reasons imo represent the real turning point.

Of course, it's all academic now, and we need to look forward. However, we face trying to find an ideal Manager in non-ideal circumstances. The man appointed then has a hell of lot of work to do to sort out and shape up this squad, instil real discipline into them, and create a team pattern that best uses the playing assets at his disposal.

It looks as though the new man is going to have to labour until January with paper thin defensive resources that could prove to be a major, major problem.

No one ever said it would be easy being a Toon fan. However, once again it should prove to be interesting.
