Let us pray for our college students and Morris Brown college

greenspun.com : LUSENET : A.M.E. Today Discussion : One Thread

On august 25th my daughter leaves for seminary, Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, California. It is a consortium of 9 seminaries. Plus there is cross registration at U.C. Berkeley.

My daughter plans to teach theology and will go on to pursue a Ph.D.

One of the things I am already seeing is the tremendous support of our denomination in helping her make the transition. St. Paul a.m.e. berkeley and first ame oakland have both offered to help her with the transition.

And the ame church former women in ministry president, Rev. Sandra Blair is on the faculty of Danielle's seminary. Plus she is still in the fifth district, which I am grateful for she will be attending the northern california annual conference in october.

To the parents and students going to college or seminary, I will pray for you and I am so proud of your achievements. The ame church has the most talented youth and young adults in the world!!

If you have a child or relative going to college or seminary, please let us know and tell us what institution they will be attending.

If you are returning to college or seminary let us know also and your institution.

If you have recently graduated from college or seminary please share the good news.

And August 25th Morris Brown begins classes. they are still alive!!! Let us pray for them.

Robert Matthews III is an alum, Dr. Dorothy Peck, former WMS president is an alum and many more and we owe Morris Brown a big thank you for producing such great minds.

For those of you who are fans of Robert Matthews III knowledge of history and gifts as a scholar, remembers he is a Morris Brown alum. Let's make sure there are more scholars to come from Morris Brown.

Please share names and institutions students are attending so we may all pray. PLEASE REMEMBER OUR STUDENTS IN AFRICAN COUNTRIES AND LIFT THEIR NAMES TOO.
