If given the choice, and you could pick who would be a good President, who would you want? And why?

See what happens when you try to have a decent conversation around here? Unless you're nose is tightly up someone elses asshole, you getting treated like this.

George Bush. He has fixed the clinton economey back up. He has beaten the terrorist hordes back out of main area Afghanistan. He has taken down a terrorist supporting Dictator in Iraq, that thought he had weapons of mass destruction. He has gathered respect for the United States in all corners of the world...... proof Lybia, Korea North, and China. Ah, Iran has started to change a little. Bush has made my local schooling around these parts look better, and the teachers I know at least support his reforms. He has a clear view of how economically we will fix the oil problem, and unlike the Democratic party his party is willing to try new energy sources. It goes on and on.

-- Lt. Alexander (M4socom@aol.com), August 19, 2004.

The Presidents clones I wish were in the running are: (in no particular order) 1. Ronald Reagan - Shut up. I liked the man, okay? 2. Harry Truman - Again, shut the fuck up. Good man! 3. Franklin Roosevelt - Popular with the country. Did a good job during horrible times.

-- You know who... (ProudWhitey@Imrightyourenot.com), August 20, 2004.

what did truman ever do other then keep the illeagle income tax around, and Nuke 2 japanese cities. The japs didnt surrender because of the nukes they surrendered because in that same week the soviet union declared was on them and took all of manchuria in a few weeks with only the loss of 100 tanks and a few hundred men. the japs where afraid of having half their home run by a Soviet Union bastard. So, what did truman do? oh he had a nice block of communists in his close circle....... wow wooo-hooo truman.

Roosevelt.... lets see beat his wife when he was younger. let the soviet have to much. made a bunch of socialist reforms that didnt end out depression; just made it look like he was doing something. wow what a great man.

at least you didnt say jimmy carter :-\

-- carter (pike159@aol.com), August 20, 2004.

He has fixed the clinton economey back up.

What??

"He has beaten the terrorist hordes back out of main area Afghanistan."

Please. He put something like 11,000 troops in Afghanistan. There's more cops in New York City than that. Just enough to secure Kabul and that nice little UNOCAL pipeline...

The hyped up "bureau of women's affairs" in Afghanistan is now hopelesly underfunded and has no real power. It's just for show. Everybody liked seeing it on TV for a week or two and now nobody cares anymore. The Northern Alliance that our media played up as such heroes and champions of freedom were in reality just a bunch of thugs and murderers. Hamid Karzai's government controls Kabul and the surrounding area. The vast majority of the country is still in control of the same warlords and "terrorist hordes" that ran it four years ago. Women are still stoned to death for leaving the house without a burqua. Men are still killed for shaving their beards. The average Afghan's life hasn't changed at all.

"He has taken down a terrorist supporting Dictator in Iraq, that thought he had weapons of mass destruction."

Correction: He has taken down a dictator in Iraq who was never proven to have any terrorist connections, that didn't actualy have any weapons of mass destruction.

"He has gathered respect for the United States in all corners of the world"

Oh yeah, the rest of the world just can't get enough of us. I'm sure they all appreciate those cluster bombs!

"Ronald Reagan - Shut up. I liked the man, okay?"

Why? What was there to like? His economic theory whereby giving a bunch of money to the rich may or may not help the poor? Or was it his foreign policy of arming Iraq and breaking the law so he could give money to death squads who ran around Nicaragua killing nuns? Or perhaps it was his splendid policy of training death squads in El Salvador and Guatemala? Ask the average Latin American what they think of Reagan. They can only equate their view of Reagan to the feeling Americans get when they see Arabs honoring Osama bin Laden, because Reagan truly was a butcher to them.

Your other two choices are pretty good.

"what did truman ever do other then keep the illeagle income tax around, and Nuke 2 japanese cities."

How is it illegal? It was authorized in the 16th Ammendment! What's wrong with the income tax? That way, your taxes are based on how much money you have. If you're rich, you pay more. If you're poor, you pay less. Why is that wrong?

And Japan? A land invasion would have cost millions of American lives. We did what we had to do.

Roosavelt's reforms helped get this country out of the Depression. His public works projects all over the country helped give people jobs, which put more money into the economy. If anything, his reforms didn't go far enough.

-- Anti-bush (Comrade_bleh@hotmail.com), August 20, 2004.

Bush.

He'll keep trying to do what he believes is right. Kerry OTOH is the beltway liberal who will vote for anything he thinks is popular with the exception of his two big causes in life -- furthering the homosexual agenda and promoting abortion. The rest of the world despises Kerry's first quality in a leader (although they would like him to be OUR leader so they can dictate our policies) and laughs at the second. What kind of idiot would vote for Kerry?

I don't give a fuck WHAT the latin Americans think of Ronald Reagan. He got us through some pretty tough times. I'm not foolish enough to think that he should get any credit, all the work falling on the people working under him and us.

Sometimes whats best for the US, isn't necessarily in the best interests of people in other countries.

Who is a prick that dissed Truman about dropping nuclear bombs on Japan?

Hey pal, I've got my popcorn and pepsi ready to see us do it again! I'd love to see some crispy critters from North Korea, Iran, Iraq, France, or any other country that is itchin for it. Seriously. Wanna save lives? (ones that matter, anyway...like AMERICAN LIVES!) It's been almost 60 years since our last nuclear "wake up call", so time to let one go to get some people's attention.

It can be done.

Let her buck!

Anti, he didn't say they LIKE President Bush, he said they RESPECTED him. The Arab world has a great understanding of strength and violence, and DO *respect* Bush. When Bush gets up to speak on Middle East policy, don't you think that the Arab states listen? You bet they do. They also don't care what Kerry says, they know he won't back it up, just like he's voted against everything for the military that came his way in the senate (that is when he bothered to show up to vote).

On Reagan, if you are in high school now, you probably don't remember that well what the country was like when he came into office. There was a country-wide malaise after the Carter years (not really all his fault, I think he was a very good man, just not the best President), but **everyone** was walking around with their hands in their pockets waiting for our country to finally collapse. Reagan's personality and outlook really changed all that and regardless of anything else he did or didn't do, he deserves credit for getting the country back on its feet again. He re-energized the country and did do a great thing for us, and deserves respect for it.

"He'll keep trying to do what he believes is right."

If Bush actualy beleives that what he's done over the past four years was right, I truly feel sorry for him.

"Sometimes whats best for the US, isn't necessarily in the best interests of people in other countries."

I don't know what sick, twisted version of America you see, but it is NEVER in the best interests of the American people to train death squads and arm megalomaniacal dictators.

"Wanna save lives? (ones that matter, anyway...like AMERICAN LIVES!)"

All lives matter, you selfish bastard.

-- Anti-bush (Comrade_bleh@hotmail.com), August 20, 2004.

When it comes to my country, NO other country matters. And that goes for the people that are in them to. The only time any of those rat fuckers give two farts to this country is when they want something.

-- You know who I is (ProudWhitey@americafirst.com), August 20, 2004.

That's bullshit, man. We all bleed red. You are one cold-hearted son of a bitch.

-- Anti-bush (Comrade_bleh@hotmail.com), August 20, 2004.

Yup. Welcome to the real world, junior! Remember that next time some fucking towelhead pilots a plane into a building near you.

-- You know who I is (proudwhitey@proudwhitey.com), August 21, 2004.

Getting back on topic, I'd vote for a Howard Hughes clone in a second!

-- Anti-bush (Comrade_bleh@hotmail.com), August 26, 2004.

Shit 4 brains proud whitey tard probably doesn't need to go back that far in researching his family tree to find out he is related to a 'towel head' himself one way or another There is no such thing as PURE White, except in his wet dreams!

-- tard@busters (www.tard@busters.org), August 26, 2004.

Shut the fuck up. If I wanted any lip out of you, I'd pick it off my zipper.

If we could resurrect the dead, I'd recommend George Washington, or Ronald Regan.

-- Garret Ford (Parallax281457689@Yahoo.com), August 27, 2004.

Washington was a Federalist, wasn't he? Heheh...I don't think there's much of a platform left for Federalist or Whig candidates. Or Republicans either, for that matter, but whatever. Do whatever works for ya.

-- Bored (bored@boring.com), August 27, 2004.

Seriously, Anybody else for a Hughes clone? Or maybe a Che Guevara or Abbie Hoffman. El Che isn't a citizen, but as long as we're ressurecting the dead I'm sure we can make an exception.

-- Anti-bush (Comrade_bleh@hotmail.com), August 27, 2004.

I think about any comedian would make a good president. Anti, in all seriousness...I hope someday you'll run for president. If you manage to hold onto all the beliefs you have without selling out I truly believe you'd do a pretty good job. The one thing (believe it or not, I've read alot of stuff I agree with you on) I would admire is looking out for the little guy, us commoners.

-- ProudAmerican (ProudAmerican@youknow.com), August 28, 2004.

Man all you rat fuckin towelheads should be shot

-- Matt Brancato (mattyb@aol.com), October 20, 2004.

You eat pieces of shit for breakfast?!?

-- (h@ppy.gilmore), October 25, 2004.

No washington wasnt a federalist. Washington said 2 things. America should never have politcal parties. America should never join long standing treaties with other nations.

-- Lt. Breeden (Annunaki GOd@aol.com), October 28, 2004.

I like Nader, but he is not on our ballot here. wiping eyes with kleenex.

-- world (not@of.this), October 29, 2004.

Anti, I'll go for Howard Hughes too, but one before he went nuts and locked himself into his casino. I also nominate the clone of Teddy Roosevelt, running on the Bull Moose Party.

"...There was a country-wide malaise after the Carter years..." Yeah, Carter didn't do Oklahoma very good. After Russia invaded Afganastan in 1979, Carter initiated a wheat embargo with Russia. Oklahoma's wheat production fell, and many were feeling that Carter malaise here.
