Kevin continues his crusade

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Ask Jesus : One Thread

"Really Kevin, post this on another thread. Or discuss it in email."

It works both ways David, you could have done the same instead of continuing to post in an open forum.

"Likewise, then don't comment on how I answered your questions."

Yes, it does work both ways doesn't it David??? I am not the one who said on another thread, something to the effect of "I have to go take care of a cry-baby", which is most certainly a reference to one of my posts. You make this statement of me and then you say that I have no desire to continue in any meaningful conversation. Please...

"I have already told you some subjects really cannot be discussed because of our foundational differences."

Then why do you bother responding to my posts???

"Like discussing eternal security, which no Arminian has any basis for believing in."

The Christian has no eternal security unless they continue abiding and growing in God's word and showing the fruit of the Spirit in their lives. There are many conditional "if" statements in the New Testament.

"The core of eternal security is our belief in Total Depravity. I merely point out that you really don't answer the questions asked, when you say "answer them"."

Yes, that is the point isn't it David??? You believe in Total Depravity which is something the Israelites and the Jews also never believed in which also causes you to believe in the false doctrine of OSAS. Man is not totally depraved and the Bible does not teach this false doctrine.

"Really?"

Yes, really.

"Right, because you re-defined the quetions."

Ok and your point is??? Who says that I have to answer your questions exactly as you define them??? Is this an "unwritten" forum rule, or is this just how David Ortiz opinion???

"Of course, I even showed you your own words and showed you how you didn't answer them."

I answered the question I wanted to answer. I am sorry you didn't like my response.

"Assertions."

Which is all you have been offering as well.

"It works both ways David, you could have done the same instead of continuing to post in an open forum."

Or I could just delete your posts. How about that? :) The reason I continue to post publicly is because you publicly taunt me with your posts.

Well, it is sort of an unwritten rule, especially if you are going to say "I answered the question" that you were asked. I gave you an example of what you do when I made the comment about the Animal Crackers. I can also argue that "I answered the question", but you just did not like my response.

"Or I could just delete your posts. How about that? :)"

You delete some of my posts anyway, so what is the difference?

"The reason I continue to post publicly is because you publicly taunt me with your posts."

And you aren't doing the same thing by publicly taunting me???

I didn't ask you to answer a question so you point is moot.

I thought this was an interesting website until I read some of the arguing. Avoid debatable scripture if it brings about division. It could be that some doctrinal views are so different that agreement may never be reached. Lord have mercy on those who have twisted the truth for their own gain.

Actually, Darren. this is one of the the most open forums in the internet. The other half is at EZBOARD. We can differ in opinion as long there is no name calling.

"Twisted".....hmm?

Could "twisted" be a synonym for "interpreted"?

Everyone's beliefs are very real and very defendable. I don't perceived that anyone here has a "twisted" belief. The real problem is in believing which is the truth and which is not. One man's faith may be another's myth. The only way to figure things out is to discuss them and weigh them with the Scriptures. After awhile, the truth becomes very clear.
