I think they used the name "Samurai X" for America's release instead of Rurouni Kenshin. Probably the word "Rurouni" is too hard to understand LOL

rurouni is not an actual word so even if u looked it up it woudn't show up but it's tricking it with the japanese word rurounin which means masterless wanderer. Samurai X is the just the english remake, so if u look at rurouni kenshin and samurai x they have different faces. they probably changed the name so they wouldn't copy it.

Um...no..you guys are all wrong. Rurouni Kenshin is the TV series aired in japan telling all the adventures of Kenshin Himura after his days as an assassinating officer in the military that helped bring about the Meiji era. Samurai X is the OVA series that shows his past starting as he was a boy and how he became an assassin (Battousai) and the reason he is a wandering Rurounin as he is in Rurouni Kenshin: Wandering Samurai. Hope this helps.

I would stop being morons. I was confused to when I first started watching anime and im sure you weren’t the little prissy know it alls you are know. And I bet I probably know more than you. It’s not really about "knowing" you anime it’s about enjoying it and having the INTELEJINSE like the first three people in this damned thread had to ask around when you get confused. You sometimes have to ask a person that knows what’s going on when you keep reading things that contradicts itself. I’ve read in so many places that in the series Rurouni Kenshin that he was fifteen, making him a five year old assassin in samurai X.
