Do F4 1000 Bars fit 750 F4 - to save my poor thumbs?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : MV Agusta F4 : One Thread

Any idea if the 1000 F4 handle bars fit the 750 F4 - I have heard these don't trap thumbs like the 750. Or is there another way?

I recall some carbon air tube covers might work but does the std bike need modifying for these. Or are there any bar-risers alternate handle bars that work on the f4 that are available in UK?

Regards

Mark

Mark, 1000 bars will fit the 750, however I have just "stripped" my bike of all it`s goodies prior P/Xing it and I have a set of Ferracci riser clamps that I won`t need any more, where abouts in the UK are you?

This is what I did to my Evo3 F4 to get the bars higher. Easy just swap the original clip on clamps from left to right and vice versa brings the bars up a treat. Need to remove the locating pins for the brake and clutch levers to get them sitting right also need to redrill a hole in the right side handle bar to relocate the throttle twist grip. Once in place it is a good idea to loosen, reposition and retighten the clutch and brake lines where they exit from their master cylinders to get a more suitable run for the lines.
