Requirements for interfaith marriage between Greek orthodox & Roman catholic

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Catholic : One Thread

I am a Roman Catholic and wish to marry somone of the Greek orthodox religion in a Catholic church. I was told that my partner needs to supply baptism & confirmation certificates. However my partner says that the sacrements of baptism and confirmation are done simultaneously in the Greek orthodox church and he doesn't know how to go about getting certificates. Can anyone advise? Thanks

Yes both sacraments are given to the infant shortly after birth. But I don't understand why there would be difficulty obtaining an official record of this. Does he know in what Orthodox church the sacraments were administered? If he goes there or calls or writes, he should be able to obtain a copy of the record.
