Hi,

I graduated school with a BS in Political Science in 1997 from Oregon. After working for a few years and losing my job, I got a Certificate in Desktop/Electronic Publishing. Now, I am considering entering a program for photojournalism.

With my background in political science (heavy on the sociology side), my ability to write and my design knowledge I think this would be a good thing to do.

I am wondering, should I go get a Bachelors in Photojournalism? I have looked at Brooks Inst in Santa Monica and also am considering going to one the Art Institute maybe in Seattle. Any suggestions about what to do and if these are good schools/programs?

I can't say enough about my alma matter, the University of Texas at Austin. Great town, daily college newspaper and some of the most cutting edge folks in the industry just wandering the streets.
