What do I need to do?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Catholic : One Thread

My new fiancé and I we both previously married in ceremonies performed by the state. We were both Catholic but were never confirmed. I know I will need to speak with my priest, but will this be a difficult annulment for either one us, if we chose to try and have a Catholic wedding?

It should be a fairly simple and relatively quick annulment process for both of you. But both of you do have to submit your former marriages to the tribunal. If you are planning marriage in the near future, do this as soon as possible, because "quick" in tribunal terms could still be two or three months if they currently have a large case load.
