Miracles and guardian angels

After reading another's post about a miracle occurring within their family (healthwise) it got me thinking about how many of us may have been touched in our lives by some miracle.

I know some of you will think this is stupid, but truly, if you had been there, you would know what a miracle these events were.

About 20 yrs ago, when I was going through a bit of 'rebellion' (Im ashamed to admit)...Labor Day weekend, my (now husband) and I had been attending a wild party at a state park and was leaving (open beer/420) in our vehicle, my husband was on probation for a previous misdemeanor...(a 100% guarantee to the BIG house if caught), when we pulled right into a state police vehicle check. There was no way out...we were in line, next to be checked. (I swear this is true) We were inching our way into position, (4 lines, side by side of cars being checked). I prayed 'please Lord, I love you, help us, Im not a bad person, just stupid' and it came to me. I told my husband to pull out and drive away. (*everyone was driving straight lines, one by one)I dont know why he listened, but he pulled out of line (we had been next to be checked) and drove right up through the middle of all 4 lines, a dozen police, and several dogs...NO ONE looked up and I felt like we were inside a blanket, hidden. When we got to the other side, we stopped and looked back and noone looked at us. We drove out of there like we were invisible. Surely, we were cloaked within my guardian angel's wings. I cried for about 3 days and praised the Lord for his goodness. I reformed my life, returned to the church and have been hungry for his Word ever since.

Even my 'agnostic/atheist' husband did not/does not know what to think of this. After that one time, our lives have been touched by at least 3 other 'miracles' of which no explanation would be sufficient to explain. Protection, healing and blessings. I think the Lord works miracles within our lives all the time, and we just dont pay attention.

2nd: brother was dying, Drs said he had a couple months, maybe weeks.(He had just come out of a semi-comatose state) My brother lived another year, enough time for my whole family to reunite (briefly) and be together with him. And in the end, 3 men came to his house, (to this day, we do not know who they were) they knocked on the door, said they were here to see my brother, walked right into his room, and when they left, I asked my brother who they were ('didnt look like friends of his, but they appeared to know him)and he said they were angels who came to tell him that Jesus loves him and forgives him. (*My brother was very dellusional at that point in his illness-barely functioning physically or mentally, but he had always been an athiest, even tho we were raised Catholic) God, in his infinate wisdom, allowed us time to love my brother, say good-bye and at the same time, gave him time to be saved in the end. TRULY a miracle. God Bless Us All. Amen.

Dear Ima,

You have been blessed by God. He has shown you how special you are to Him.

Thank you for sharing. Miracles can and do happen, but I think are generally brushed off as coincidence, a secular word that makes me crazy. You have seen it for what it really was...a message of God's love to you and your family.

God bless your day.

Jennifer
