Neon Genesis Evangelion is kinda old from 1995. There is an animeserie who is very similar to Eva; Rahxaphon. Rahxaphon is from 2002. Itz almost the same actually and the art is better ;). But Eva has the story a bit deeper. Another clone and its from this year; Sokyu No Fafner. Itz brand new and they have 2eps so far.

I would check Rahxaphon first untill u watch Eva. And then Sokyu No Fafner. Download them all at once so u can compare it.
