The Moderator's Reply

[Part I]

The better question is, "Who is this moderator who decides when to bring discussions to a halt?" Can we censor Mr. Moderator?
........................

-- rod (elreyrod@yahoo.com), July 12, 2004.
The first part of this question was answered on another thread. You can't censor me for obvious reasons (you are not the moderator). If an assistant moderator deems it necessary to censor the main moderator, then they can. Otherwise, regular users can only make suggestions.
This is a warning, Kevin, The point you were trying to make with King Agrippa has been refuted countless times. Regurgitating it over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over does not and is not refuting Max's post. Any further post by you that mentions the King will be deleted. Please don't waste your time in responding to my (this) post, it will just get deleted.

-- (Christian_Moderator@@hotmail.com), July 12, 2004.
The second post you "restored" was not deleted and is still there in blue font. To explain the rest of the deleted messages, one has to look at what was posted on the "Prayers to the Saints" thread.
I was told that I could not post under different user names. Funny, every post will have identification information, unless cleverly hidden. Mystery? Yes. Double standard? Yes. Power? YES.

Uh......and it is only "rod".

...................

-- rod (elreyrod@yahoo.com), July 13, 2004.

There is no double standard here Mr. Rodriguez. Regulars know who the moderator is (for now) and posting with the moderators email address is only so people won't feel like the Moderator is picking on them because David is upset at something or because David doesn't like someone.
Yeah, Rod, we know who she is alright!

Gail

-- Gail (Rothfarms@socket.net), July 14, 2004.

Mrs. Faith has nothing to do with it. Mrs. Roth believes it is Mrs. Faith that is deleting her (and other) messages. This post was unnecessary, as there is only one person that is advertised on the main page under the Moderator's address.
Rod If you don't like it go back to your catholic forum.

-- Gail (Rothfarms@socket.net), July 14, 2004.

This post from Mrs. Roth was deleted for mocking the Moderator. If one would like to think the Catholic forum is not filled with insults, then do so. Nevertheless, all one has to do is read those threads, and this anonymous email to see this is not just some random sarcastic thought from the Moderator.
Hey Luke, Did you check your bad manners at the door this time. The Moderator says this about you: "It appears as if this Luke came from the Catholic forum, where he might have picked up those bad manners." This is tooooooooo funny! Gail

-- Gail (Rothfarms@socket.net), July 14, 2004.

There is nothing funny about insulting people. This is just more mocking from Mrs. Roth. This post added nothing useful to the thread, hence the reason for deletion.
Hi Luke (if it really is you)

We had our debate on the Christian Forum. We disagreed big time. I do not hold any grudges. You have your views and I have mine. That doesn't mean we can't sit at the same table and enjoy our company. I still respect you and expect you to fight with tooth and nail over your beliefs. If you are ticked with me, I can understand. But, please understand that we are just people with strong views. I'd still save a chair and a dinner plate for you at the table.

.................

-- rod (elreyrod@yahoo.com), July 14, 2004.

Mr. Rodriguez, this Luke is not the same person you are thinking it is. This post was deleted because you were making it seem that the Moderator was deleting things because of a grudge. This remark was unnecessary.
Anyway, if I go back to the Catholic Forum, I'll have to tread extremely lightly around Bill. I'd rather just wait in the truck and talk on the radio.

-- rod (elreyrod@yahoo.com), July 14, 2004.

No further comment.

No, wrong Mr. Moderator. You do not know what I was "thinking". There is no way--unless you have divine capabilities--of knowing what I was thinking. I posted a reply to Luke--real or fake Luke--in the hopes of keeping a decent two-way discussion with Luke. It has been awhile since Luke posted. He seemed to have stopped posting since our last debate.

What truly intrigues me is how another person can decide which remarks are necessary and which are not. That, my friends, is the mark of superimposed superiority on the part of the deletor. Like it or not--consider it mocking or whatever--that is the reality of the actions taken by the Mr. Moderator. Please, don't do the thinking for us in regards to our remarks. There is supposed to be a two-way discussion bout things. For example:

"Ms. So and So, your remarks sound as if you are mocking me. Would you please rephrase your remarks?"

"Mr. So and So, the Luke you have replied to is not the Luke we all know. You may wish to retract your post to him."

But, instead, you simply delete the posts as if we were snoddy-nosed little five year olds posting with washable markers.

Sorry, I am very wary about Moderators who "know" what I'm thinking.

-- rod (elreyrod@yahoo.com), July 16, 2004.

It is a fallacy to believe that only the moderators have the power to delete threads and posts and posters. Let's remember our little enagements with Tom. So, when moderators go deleting without real reasons, all it takes is for some Tom to go haywire and the problems start. That's probably what triggers those Toms out there.

Your words, not mine:

"Hi Luke (if it really is you) We had our debate on the Christian Forum."

http://p221.ezboard.com/bthechristianforum

There is only one Luke that posts at this forum (hubertdorm@yahoo.com). This new Luke (Luke@private.please) does not have a matching IP address as Luke (hubertdorm@yahoo.com).

-- (Christian_Moderator@@hotmail.com), July 17, 2004.

Luke has not posted in awhile. I don't have the rank to view IP addresses, you do. I am still going under the assumption that it was Luke--even if it is not--so that Luke may have a chance to clear things up, if they need clearing up. You the moderator are getting in the way. I notice that you only answer little tid bits instead of the whole thing. Get real and correct your errors. This is getting really annoying, having to deal with moderators who can't get things right.

Can you now understand what I was thinking or is that not what I should be thinking, Mr. Moderator?

Leave us alone until we break the rules or request something from you. That sounds fair to me.

Faith and David.

I shall email you each time I post so that the imposture will have a difficult time impersonating me--which is real easy to do anyway.

I will email you at your email account we designated back in Feb.

We need a moderator for our moderator. Then we need a moderator for that moderator and of course that moderator will need a moderator and on and on and on until the WHOLE WORLD IS A MODERATOR! I suppose the moderator will call that sarcasm but, no, Moderator, it's just FUNNY!

-- Gail (Rothfarms@socket.net), July 17, 2004.

We need the Mod Squad!

-- Jim (furst@flash.net), July 17, 2004.

Careful Jim, you're showin' your age!

-- Gail (Rothfarms@socket.net), July 17, 2004.

I know what you mean Gail. I remember the first time I got a blank stare when I mentioned Jerry Mathers.

-- Jim (furst@flash.net), July 17, 2004.

Hey, groovy, man! I liked Link and leave it to the Beave!

Hey rod,

I love "Leave it to Beaver". Also "The Andy Griffith Show," "I Love Lucy," and "The Brady Bunch." We used to have a cable channel that had old shows on it, so I could watch them, but no more :( Probably for the better anyway, as it would distract me from more important things.

-- Emily ("jesusfollower7@yahoo.com), July 17, 2004.

Yup, Eddie Haskell was my favorite character. We couldn't really dislike him even during his mischievious moments.

"Leave us alone until we break the rules or request something from you. That sounds fair to me."

Very well. I shall stay out of your way. Feel free to post whatever you want. This will be an unmoderated forum from now on. If ooga and AKO come back, not my problem.

-- (Christian_Moderator@@hotmail.com), July 18, 2004.

Obviously, not this forum's moderator in the previous post. When this forum is attack or the rules are broken , it is logical that the moderator should enforce the forum's rules. That was rather clear in my previous post, Mr. Moderator.

-- rod (elreyrod@yahoo.com), July 18, 2004.

"When this forum is attack or the rules are broken , it is logical that the moderator should enforce the forum's rules"

Of course, then it should be illogical to complain when the moderator does enforce them!

-- (Christian_Moderator@@hotmail.com), July 18, 2004.

Peculiar post. This is David's forum. I find it very difficult to believe that David would abandon his forum members and give in to evil doers. This leads me to believe that someone is impersonating the moderator. David is not the type to extort his brothers.

........................

-- rod (elreyrod@yahoo.com), July 18, 2004.

One does not complain when the rules are enforced. One expects the rules to be fair and enforced. One also has the freedom to challenge the fairness of a rule. When one is denied such a voice, one is no longer an equal citizen of the group, but a second class subject.

The complain delt with the injustice of the actions taken by the moderator. The actions were inconsistent with the adherance to the rules.

There was a demand for an explanation after the action, not prior to the action. The rules stated nothing about "regurgitating" the Gospels.

-- rod (elreyrod@yahoo.com), July 18, 2004.

Due Process.

-- rod (elreyrod@yahoo.com), July 18, 2004.

"The rules stated nothing about "regurgitating" the Gospels."

Rules change, and these will too. Certain things will not be allowed, like calling Protestants anti-Catholics.

-- (Christian_Moderator@@hotmail.com), July 18, 2004.

If a man believes a lie, it is up to the just man to bring him to the truth. Show him the errors of his ways. Hmmm...

the world knew Hitler was a madman, but it took the world to learn about Hitler through his deeds.

So, every man has a flaw. It takes putting the man's face into his flaw to see it. If a post contains what we think are lies, we provide the truth. That's if we are capable of proving that we have the truth.

-- rod (elreyrod@yahoo.com), July 18, 2004.

" Rules change, and these will too. Certain things will not be allowed, like calling Protestants anti-Catholics. "

Are Protestants pro-Catholic?

Are Catholics anti-Protestant?

Is Ciprofloccine anti-biotic?

Perhaps we should call Anti-Catholics--"Anti=Catholics"??

.......................................

-- rod (elreyrod@yahoo.com), July 18, 2004.

Oops, I'm on my other computer.

Make that "Anti-Catholic", not "Anti=Catholic".

Shoot, I can't sleep, yet I can't stay awake.

Uh........."Ciprofoxin".......duh! Why "cipro"? Because, our bodies get older and less efficient with health issues.

BTW, I hope Elpidio is recovering ok.

-- rod (elreyrod@yahoo.com), July 18, 2004.

They succeeded in censoring Galileo, until the truth came out. He was a heretic in their view.

-- rod (elreyrod@yahoo.com), July 18, 2004.

Yes, I hope he is doing ok too.

-- David Ortiz (cyberpunk1986@hotmail.com), July 18, 2004.

Uh....Calvinism??

Yes, men and women are "compatible". That doesn't make a man a woman or a woman a man. That, also, doesn't make a Calvinist a Catholic nor a Catholic a Calvinist. Some similarities exist, but the differences make for seperate dressing rooms.

Yes, try out a nice Presbyterian Church near you ;-)

-- David Ortiz (cyberpunk1986@hotmail.com), July 18, 2004.

I don't think I was predestined to be Presbyterian. But, I do have a secret in my past. Of course, I won't dare reveal that one.

-- rod (elreyrod@yahoo.com), July 18, 2004.

Let me guess, Pentecostal?

-- David Ortiz (cyberpunk1986@hotmail.com), July 18, 2004.

You already know about my Pentecostal days.

One day you shall know about me and the Presbyterian church.

I walked into a non-denominational church one day. I asked if they took any denomination. They said yes: 5's, 10's, 20's,...

Sorry, I couldn't resists. I'm going to bed now.
