tempdb related

The system has c and d drive only i have restricted the growth of the temdb file growth on c drive and added another file unrestriced the growth on d drive.But when i stop and restart the sql server it give error in the readerrorlogs saying error while crating i:\name of a log file and the new file added with unrestriced the growth on d drive does not exist. I drive is not at all existing in the system then from where does this error comes from pls give me some solution i cant unrestriced the growth on d drive due to this problem.

Ganesh,

Verify that the D drive file exists for the MSSQLSERVER account on your SQL Server. Note that the SQL Server machine is probably different than the machine on which you are running Enterprise Manager.

If this does not resolve the issue, please repost to the forum with the text and error number of the error message.
