Here is a link to the U.S. Senate and their e-mail addresses if anyone would like to take 15 seconds and inform their congressmen what they think.

Sadly, I think it's to late to put a ban on Gay marriage. It already happened in Canada right?

It's coming up for debate sometime in the next couple of weeks in the Senate. My home state has put it on the ballot for primaries 8/3. At any rate, write your Senators anyway. It'll only take a minute!

I'm not pro gay marriage or anything. I'm just wondering how banning gay marriages will help gays "see the light." I don't condone their lifestyle, but banning their marriages won't make them stop being gay.

I'm not trying to upset anyone, just a little curious.

The Marriage amendmen't isn't about changing the perverse behavior of anybody. It is to prevent the destruction of the institution of marriage itself. If two same sex persons can be legally wedded under the constitutional provision of equal protection, then there can be no proscription of Bisexual polygamy ,for a Bisexual needs relations with both sexes to be fulfilled. And then it would be deemed unfair to hetrosexual polygamists to prohibit their multiple unions. And so on down the slippery slope so that The farmhand and his ewe should be able to wed. After all it's all about love ain't it ?

Even without same sex marriages, the institution of marriage seems to be in a pretty sorry shape. Nearly every religion has a "marriage" or union of two people. Marriages today are viewed as either unnecessary or temporary.

This leads me to the question: What is marriage in God's eyes?

Hi Laurant,

Gay marriage is an offense against the institution of marriage designed by God. Marriage is the oldest covenantal institution in history. It is a means by which life is given. It is a means by which a man and woman reflect in their love for each other the love that God has for man. The sin of homosexuality is a perversion of that God given institution. In other words, the "Supreme Insult" against our Maker.

God Bless,

Gail
