pre-1930 aerial photos of San Francisco

greenspun.com : LUSENET : San Francisco History : One Thread

Where can I find pre-1930 aerial photographs of San Francisco? Do they even exist? Pacific Aerial Surveys/HJW only has photos from 1930 to the present.

Oops, my link was a little vague. Just refine your search by entering a more specific date (say 1850-1930) with the "modify search" link at bottom of page. Trust me, you'll find what you want.
Sorry.

You might also try the National Park Service's archive at the Presidio. They have numerous aerial photos taken by army aviators during the 1920s and '30s. Many are of military sites (naturally) but there are also some nice views of downtown SF and other districts. Call 415-561-4807
