i had recently got the HP A350n and the nero rom does not detect the cd Writer

Make sure the burner is connected. I can tell you that Nero 5.x will recognize the burner in a HP a520n, so as long as the burner is connected, Nero should recognize it. Take something like an audio CD and put it in the burner and make sure the PC can read it. If it reads it, it's connected. Then you might try making sure you have the most recent version of Nero.
