At the first report (but not the first radio-rasti) Halden is about 20 seconds ahead of Kalevan Rasti. I wonder what is going to happen. It'd be cool to see KR win.

As soon as we get the first radio-rasti report, I'm logging off. The latest news is that they'll be there any minute. The courses have forked a bit , not much, so maybe they'll split up a bit.

2 seconds apart at the radiorasti. Who will win? And will Attackpoint continue moving up and make it to the top 500...and if they get in the top 500 will they stay there?

signing off...hej daa

Deep Throat is back... but the radio cut off. What's going on?

They're together at the first radiorasti, Googoo punching just a couple of seconds behind Wingstedt.

23 minutes for 5.2km at the first split... it's not exactly a map hike out there.

-- Mook (mook@mook.com), June 19, 2004.

3rd and 4th at the same split were DELTA (+5:12) and Orion (+6:59).

-- Mook (mook@mook.com), June 19, 2004.

In 8th at the 5km split: Kristiansand OK 1 (NOR) +down by 10:39 on the leaders, put in by Jorgen Rostrup 24:41

Is Team Attackpoint #1 really in 584th place on John Fredrickson's leg?

What ever hap[en to Team AttackPt #2?

They're nearing the next radiorasti...

-- Mook (mook@mook.com), June 19, 2004.

I heard the Attackpoint teams didn't have enough people to fill the roster.

Same order and similar spacing for the top two at the second radio control. They're zipping through the course. This could come down to the finish chute.

Damn - an old fashion footrace - neck and neck. Pretty exiting! "Situation in relay 7. leg, Intermediate time 9,2 km 1 1 Halden SK 1 NOR 6.24.52 Emil Wingstedt 45.36 2 3 Kalevan Rasti 1 FIN +1 Thierry Gueorgiou 45.25 3 2 Delta 1 FIN +5.26 Jani Lakanen 46.50 "

Thierry down 8 sec at 12 km split.

TAP (Team Attackpt #1) hasn't done too shabby. At one pt was in 1056th place, but last report was in 546th! What will we expect Randy Hall to do on the anchor?

DELTA retains a solid 3rd place while Orion has dropped back and pulled into a group of 4 or so teams 10+ minutes back, led by Kristiansand with Rostrup on their anchor leg. The other teams in that group are VV1 (w/ Marc Lauenstein), Sodertalje, and TP.

And the winner is:

1st - Kalevan Rasti with Thierry Gueorgiou besting Halden's Emil Wingstedt by 10 sec.

Kalevan Rasti! By 23 seconds. In an interview, we learn this was Thierry's dream that came true!

-- Mook (mook@mook.com), June 19, 2004.

3rd was Delta, coming up about 2 minutes back.
