One-handed parenting

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Disabled Parents Network : One Thread

Disability, Pregnancy and Parenthood International (DPPI) are planning to do a feature on one-handed parenting in the July 04 issue of our journal. We also hope in the future to do an information sheet on this issue. We would very much like hear from parents and professionals with practical experience of one-handed parenting. For example, what baby care equipment you found useful (or useless!)and tips/practical solutions that could be passed onto other parents. Sharing personal experiences is invaluable as there is very little written on this subject.

If you would like to share you experiences you can either reply here, contact me on our freephone 0800 184730 or email info@dppi.org.uk

Dear Coral, I am a health visitor who when searching the web found your site and was interested as I have just met a mum who is one handed with a new baby . I'm sure she would be really interested in any information that you gather on this subject, I would be very grateful if you would contact me with anything I could usefully pass on to her. My reason for looking was to find the answer to her question 'is she entitled to free baby milk under the welfare food scheme as she is receiving DLA?' do you know? look forward to hearing from you, Angela
