im curious as to what you guys think is his more 'morbid' or 'sick' - 'twisted' whatever u want to call it, stories/writings?

Some say and I agree that, his story "Berenice" is his most morbid tale. Egaeus has an obsession with his cousin's teeth - and robs her grave.

All the more so since "Berenice" is more than slightly satirical. Poe's humor was very often too dark or in grim taste or just plain too blatant to be appreciated.

"The Man who was all Used Up" is only saved by being completely unrealistic and satirical. "Prof. Tarr and Dr. Feathers" is a good example. Poe was not always morbid or vicious in his humor, but anytime he mocked the Gothic you can bet things will be disquieting.
