Rurouni Kenshin is a great anime, but it's much better when you see the uncut episodes. Plenty of gore/swearing/etc.

the sad thing is that ive seen almost all of the samurai x series get a life. if your just learning about samurai x (rurouni kenshin) then your just too far behind

Yeah. Sadly I never saw uncut Kenshin before, though I do know of the edits. However I think it's gontta be the best damn edited dub out there-Come on, compare it to stuff like Yuu Yuu Hakusho. EVERYTHING is cut in YYH and it makes me sick because I really like the dub and now that it's off Adult Swim I gotta spend my money for the frickin' DVD's...But Kenshin leaves in some blood, alcohol/drug reference (Hell, the enire Konryuu Takeda arc was about opium), and even mild sexual humor (In YYH when there was an incident of a she- male the entire episode was re-written!! In RK the sythe woman of the Juppongattana was a transvestite too, and it wasn't cut!). Maybe I can say that because I've never seen it uncut, but considering that the stuff they didn't cut from Kenshin they could get away with...I mean the answer is obvious. It's not Cartoon Network's problem butchering Anime that bad-It's God Damn FUNimation, and the other respective dub companies, that decide what they find objectionable.
