FoR is an excellent Manga!! It's about a boy named Recca Hanabishi living in the modern worl, but he's a dork and is OBSESSED with ancient Ninja stuff! One day he meets a girl, Yanagi Sakoshita, and says he'll be her official Shinobi and she's his princess! Well they get into all kinds of adventures when a mysterious woman (SPOILER-Who actually turns out to be Recca's mom) shows up and sets up tests for Recca to overcome and fight the evil Kurei (SPOILER-Who is Recca's 1/2 brother)! Him and his friends Fuko, Domon, Mikagami and Kaoru join together with elemental weapons to carry on and battle!! It's great. I buy the Manga at barnesandnoble.com though. I'm up to Vol. 5 and Vol. 6 comes out on the 9th...I CAN'T WAIT!! I recomend Recca to anyone who wants a good Manga though. Also the Manga is much much better than the Anime.

Well I wouldn't call it very bad but...Well you know how most Anime follow the Manga pretty much to the letter, with the exception of maybe a few filler episodes here and there? Well...Recca's Anime is more BASED on the Manga that actually FOLLOWING it...And Recca looks ugly!! RECCA IS SO HOT IN THE MANGA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And he's s'posta have red hair (not carrot-top actually red) not black!! The plot of the Anime is just really different than the Manga, and it only covers half of the Manga...Which, well, hust sucks.

hmmm. flame of recca is pretty good. except the times when you see disturbing nudity...

and the art is pretty good... but for ninja mangas, i recommend NARUTO

Flame of Recca, is the best! (alone with Berserk :D )

I've read up to vol 30, (scans) and its so hard to describe what you feel, neva watched the anime, but after reading the manga it will be near impossible to beat it!

Ignore anyone who says to stick to manga, OR to stick with anime, you have to sample both and choose what you like.
