In consulting some of my old maps of San Francisco, I see that what is now 3rd Street running along the southeast side of the city was originally 4th Street running into Kentucky, then running into Raliroad. Question 1) does anyone know when this route officially became all 3rd Street? Moving on; I also note that San Bruno Road, now San Bruno Avenue, ran through Visitacion Valley and continued on down the peninsula roughly following the S.P. tracks after the Bayshore Cut-off. At some point the road became Bayshore Blvd. Question 2) Does anyone know when these name changes happened?
