I read somewhere that the Jehovah Witness group stems from the Ebionite faith. It is a modern day continuation of the Ebionites. I don't know if that is just some wild assertion or if there really is some truth to it.

Russell got his beliefs from The Adventists, Rod.

Rutherford changed them in the 1920s and 1930s. He also changed the name to Jehivah's Witnesses.

They are the modern Arrians, David, sort of.

The end of the world, chuckle, chuckle, that tactic is the same one they use in the supermarket tabloids, it amazes me how often we all survive the end of the world every week, I guess we are all really lucky, oh, wait, that last one was really close....hehe.

I actually was part of a bible study where we analyzed the difference in the JW bible and the real one, it's subtle, but the wording has been reworked, in fact we felt it to be demonicly influenced with how far they have warped it. Small changes in the text can dramatically change the entire meaning behind the lessons. Focus upon their differences and you'll see what I mean.
