Greetings, after reading all the negative, concerning discussion on this board I am compelled to share GOOD News with you. We in South Africa is estatic that we won the Bid for the FIFA World cup. At our recent Midyear Conference in Kimberly south Africa. The news came as we were about to have appointments read. A roar was head in the dusty streets .We all wondered if a tragidy had struck .NO, the news spread through the streets into the church. Spontaneous singing rang out.the Congregation sang the Te Deum in our language. The anointing was flowing .I saw Mrs. Davis lift her hands in worship at singing of the Te deum, tears flowed, hands were lifted in thanksgiving to God for this wonderful priviledge. The cars were blowing their horns long after the announcement at midday. We are proud that this 10 years of democracy has brought us the 2010 FIFA world cup. We thank God for the blessings that now will come , job creation and economic development. We thank God for a free and fair elections .The people have spoken in their millions. As AME's we need to rejoice because God has blessed South Africa in abundance this year.WE HAVE PEACE PRAISE God

Parson Higgins -

Congrats to South Africa! Along with track and filed, the sport of "football" is truly an international event. As a soccer Dad I have enjoyed watching and mentoring my 8 year old son in the techniques of competitive soccer. I have already taught him about the global importance of Pele` and now with the emergence of 14 year old MLS phenom Freddy Adu, the sky's the limit for this sport. QED

Greetings and best wishes Rev. Higgins As football runs in our blood here in Bermuda we are exited for you and the people of South Africa. We should one day organize a competition with teams from our friends in the Caribbean, Canada, U.S., and the U.K. and have some fun of our own.

God Bless You and All of our Brothers and Sisters
