Furnace question

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Freedom! self reliance : One Thread

I have brand new furnace and AC installed last year. I have the AC working now and the furnace blower is acting funny. It works for a little while but then stops blowing, even though the AC unit seems to be cooling the air and sending it into the furnace. I have done some troubleshooting and find if i cut power to the furnace for a few hours the blower will then work for a little while but then always cuts off. Anyone know what I can do before I have to call in for service?

Call the folks who put it in or the manufacturer because it should still be under warrenty. It sounds like the blower is gettin hot and shuttin down on internal overload either because of bad windings or a bad bearing. New motor will fix it. old hoot. Matt. 24;44
