You have to convert the file to .mpg format which usually takes 2+ hours EACH episode and TRIPLES the file size. This is the only way the quality will stay the same. It's a waste of time and effort if you do it the wrong way (the whole day gets *#^@*$^!!!). Also, you need a VCD and/or .mpg compliant DVDplayer. Just scew it and get a PC to TV video adapter or a DIVX player.

Use Nero for vcds, it will convert to mpeg for you and it doesnt always triple the file size. Plus it doesnt always take long if you have a decently fast computer.

yeah, it does compress it so it wont take uo 3x the space, BUT it also takes a VERY VERY long time on my 1.4ghz computer. i recommend doing this when you go to bed, so when you wake up it will ALMOST be done. (j/k)

You could go to http://www.videohelp.com/ and read the VCD guide. This site is where I learned everything about making my own VCD's from about anything. Below is just an example of how I do it (in most cases)

Search for the following utilities, Nero, Virtualdubmod, cdex, and TMPEGenc plus on the net or through file sharing. THIS IS WHAT I DO ... Use vurtualdubmod to demux your preferred .ogg audio stream (if file is an .ogm), or just rip the audio to uncompressed .wav with virtualdub if other type. Use cdex to convert to an uncompressed .wav file. Go here http://www.videohelp.com/virtualdubframeserve.htm and read the instructions on how to frameserve from virtualdub should tmpegenc choke on the video (as if often does with xvid.) Open tmpegenc and choose the dummy file (if frameserving) or the videofile. Then choose the .wav for the audio. Choose your options and make sure the screen orientation is set to full screen - keep aspect ratio. If the subtitles are chopped off on the bottom or the sides by the overscan you may want to reduce the size by choosing center - custom, instead. Play around with the size (I usually cut off about 8% of the size up and down). Encode and burn with nero.

Encoding for VCD's, SVCD's and DVD's can be very time consuming and it is very easy to get frustrated at first but the more you do it the better you will get and the easier it should get.
