Device to lift rear wheel when on the road

greenspun.com : LUSENET : MV Agusta F4 : One Thread

I've been looking for some sort of stand that can be used on trips to lube the chain and even provide more stability than the side stand alone provides. Does anyone have any suggestions?

My dealer tilts it over using the sidestand (but I don't like that)

there is a stand that comes along with the bike when you bought it. better yet, there is a bunch of guys who manufactures side stands for Ducati's that can sometimes work for MV's.

Thanks, I'll see if I can fit that one in my tankbag when I get home...8-)

The alternative for lube is a Scottoiler.Or a nice mate to roll bike along for you . There have been various retractable type stands that can be used under swing arm, probably find them in accesory catalogues like Busters,M&P . They would fit the tank bag a bit better

I just find a clear flat area to roll the bike in 6" increments, oiling the exposed chain sections as I go. After getting the whole chain oiled, I ride slowly around a little to work it in, then stop and wipe off excess with same rolling procedure.
