I am looking for information specific to Father Yorke's tenure on the Board of Governors at the University of California Berkley. I have heard that Father Yorke resigned the board when the University refused to allow Irish language to be included in the curriculum as part of the larger Celtic (?) Studies program. I have been unable to corroborate this story.

I am working as a research assistant for a doctoral dissertation on Celtic Studies and need the information to use as part of the defense. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
