Where did Jesus go to when he died? There are three main views about this. Some say he went to hell, others say to heaven. The last view is that he went to Paradise,

Luke, I didn't get your message.

I have never been to Tennesee. How is the climate now?

It was a joke. It is cold in TN right now.

Hi Jeff

Your imagery might seem questionable, but your theology may be sound.

BTW, your "Bassist" tag makes me ask this off-topic question.

I thinking about spending a few grand for a Strunal Upright Bass. If your are a bassist, could you give me some advice on a good acoustic String Bass? (I also play violin, electric bass, and guitar on the side.) Email me, if you have some advice. Thanks in advance.

Actually David..,

If you're talking about my view of paradise--I don't think Jesus went to paradise--I think he *is* paradise for the soul....

The thief went to paradise because his soul is with Jesus until that time when Jesus raises us to meet with our bodies.

Where Jesus went himself inbetween his death and resurrection is not explained exactly--but I think he defeated Satan during that time and rose victorious...of course--it's all eternal and the time frame thing is hard to pinpoint.

But if Jesus told the thief that he would be "with Him" in paradise that day--then it is true.

Faith

"If you're talking about my view of paradise--I don't think Jesus went to paradise...."

He said He would go there. Its Scripture.

"The thief went to paradise because his soul is with Jesus until that time when Jesus raises us to meet with our bodies."

Scripture promised they would be together in Paradise.

"Where Jesus went himself inbetween his death and resurrection is not explained exactly"

Yes it is. Hewent to "Paradise".

"...--but I think he defeated Satan during that time and rose victorious..."

where is the Scripture?!?!??!

"of course--it's all eternal and the time frame thing is hard to pinpoint."

for a mere human being, probably.

"But if Jesus told the thief that he would be "with Him" in paradise that day--then it is true."

that is correct!!. however, you clearly are not that sure. see the points you make above.

your post above makes no sense, FAith.

It isn't my fault if you want to pervert what i am saying Ian.

I said that paradise is being in Christ.

The Bible tells us that it is better to be apart from our bodies (dead)--because to be apart from our bodies means that we are with Christ.

That means that when someone dies--their soul is in Christ.

That must be paradise. Paul said it is better to be dead because then we are with Jesus. This is a spiritual thing Ian.., because our bodies remeain here in the ground.

The thief went to be with Jesus--in Spirit---

It doesn't really matter what Jesus Himself was doing at the time--it is paradise to be with Christ.

i didn't "pervert" what you said Faith, i compared it to Scripture, line by line, which is an altogether different thing. your view does not stack up well against the Bible. that seems clear.
