Two Questions1.Please define in detail "total driving for the month that will be discounted 10% or 15% based on the plan one chooses."
For example, I choose the $250 plan and at the end of the month my bill is $600 which includes:
Rental of the car $400 mileage $100 tax $100
Does the 15% apply to the entire $600 amount, which would leave me with a balance of $510?
2. In addition, I never got a final response back my an inquiry about adding another driver for just a one-time rental. According to the website, there really isn't an option to just add a driver for a one-time rental. In essence I need to pay his/her $25 non-refundable application fee and then call in to cancel that individual soon after the rental.
I would like to add an individual for a one time rental so that he/she can be covered for insurance purposes, but paying a non-refundable deposit of $25 defeats the purpose where I could go to a Hertz and just add for no charge. Is there something zip car can offer with regards to this particular situation?

In answer to your questions:1. Yes.
2. That's correct, each driver must pay an application fee.

Staff members have posted this several times in the past, and I assume it still applies:"If you have a question for Zipcar staff, please send it to info@zipcar.com"
This forum is for Zipcar members to discuss stuff, not for specific inquiries to Zipcar. In my experience, if you e-mail info@zipcar.com, you get a response right away, whereas on this board it can take a long time or not get answered at all.

Rachel-Thanks for the suggestion, but I have sent 3 emails to info@zipcar.com, but have not received any response. Also...just curious but with regards to my first question when was it posted, because the new driving plans just recently came out?

In regard to Rachel's statement that "This forum is for Zipcar members to discuss stuff, not for specific inquiries to Zipcar":I've been a member for about 3.5 years and I have had the same understanding about the intent of the forum. But, unfortunately, the creator's/moderator's use of terms like "Questions for Zipcar" and "zipcar question and answer forum" in titles and categories suggests otherwise. In fact, I was recently mislead by this and thought the intent had changed -- eventhough for 3+ years I knew of the original intent as described by Rachel.
