REPOSSESSION ( CENTRAL TRUST PLC)(COBBETTS)

I HAVE A SECURED LOAN ON MY HOME, WHICH I AM IN ARREARS WITH. I HAVE RECEIVED A COURT DATE FOR REPOSSESSION WHICH IS NOW ONLY 2 WEEKS AWAY. I AM IN THE PROCESSS OF REMORTGAGING TO PAY THE LOAN OFF, BUT IT WONT GO THROUGH IN TIME. HOW CAN I DELAY THE COURT CASE FOR 3/4 WEEKS TO BUY ME THIS EXTRA TIME, OR IS THERE ANY OTHER ADVICE TO OFFER.

You will need to attend court and explain your situation to the judge - you will likely be given a suspended possession order under the Norgan rules.

If you do not attend the judge has no option but to give an unsuspended possession order with possession 28 days later - be warned!!!

Trying to play the court system by delaying the hearing will only result in a firmer hand being taken - judges are used to people "trying it on".

You will have sustantial costs to pay as a result of the hearing - the court fee alone is £150 and the solicitors charges are likely to be about £500 or so.
