When Jack dies in the ocean, why does his body sink?

well its probably because he is not wearing a life jacket like everyone else is. I am not sure though. :)

yes, but when people die, aren't their bodies naturally boyant? Life Jackets are for people struggling to stay on top of the water who can't actually swim. But when someone dies, their bodies don't sink. And seeing how his body was frozen, this whole thing confuses me even more, because ice is less dense than water.

Jack sinks because number 1 he isnt wearing a lifejacket yes, but the main reason is because he died. If he had on a lifejacket, then he would have stayed above water.
