My son is a practicing Roman Catholic planning his marriage to a practicing Macedonian Orthodox woman. They want to be married in the the Macedonian Orthodox Church, and do what is right with the Roman Catholic beliefs. Their religion is very important to both of them. thank you Jean

Take a look at this Catholic-Orthodox marriage guide on the U.S. Catholic Bishops website.

Jean,

The Catholic Church accepts the Apostolic succession of the Orthodox Churches and that their sacraments are valid. The Catholic Church would recognize and accept the marriage of someone married in one of the Orthodox Churches.

Hope that's helpful.
