Will you pose request for miracle for Pope John Paul

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Catholic : One Thread

Hello, I am an Australian Catholic, and I have Sydney's Cardinal Pell's blessing to request prayers for a miracle healing of our beloved Pope, from his Parkinson's disease and other illnesses, via Mother Teresa's intervention. The resulting very public miracle would bring millions of people back to God. Yours in Christ. Christine J

Dear Lord, Please grant our beloved Pope John Paul II the miracle of healing through the intersession of our Blessed Mother and Mother Teresa and all the angels and saints in heaven as we continue to prayfor him. As you are aware we love our beloved pope and wish to be led by him more in accordance to your Divine Will Amen.

Prayer is always useful and according to Jesus, necessary. We can pray for many persons or many causes, but ask for Miracles seems to me a bit strange. A miracle depends solely on God's free will. When you pray for someone's health you don't usually ask for a miracle, because you know that you should be ready to accept God's Will and that He may not grant our petition. How He answers our prayers, and of course He always does, is up to Him. Maybe He grants us something different from whar we are asking because He considers that more useful for our salvation than what we are asking.

A miracolous healing of the Hoy Father will not necessarily bring enormous crowds to the Faith. There are miracles almost every day at Lourdes, Fatima, Guadalupe and many other places and we don't see immense crowds coming to the Catholic Faith.

Of course I pray everyday for the Holy Father but I expect the Lord to answer my prayers the best way He sees convenient.

Therefore when we ask for anything let's do it the way we pray in the Our Father: Thy will be done....

Please pray that the most pressing issues and concerns of His Holiness Pope John Paul II will be answered and lightened!

May God's Peace and Love Continue to Surround You!
