I have a enith DVB211 which will play cd's but will not play dvd's. It can't read them so just spits them out. Any takers?

Do you mean store bought DVD, or DVD-R?

If it won't play store bought DVDs, it's probably broken.

If it won't play DVD-R, it may be too old to recognize them.

Hey!!!! I've found out there might be a way to easily hack the player, to enable vcd! Here are some instructions taken from : http://www.dvdrhelp.com/dvdhacks.php?select=Zenith+DVB211

This hack enables VCD playback Power on the player with no disk in the drive Press "PAUSE" on the remote Enter "1472" on the remote Press the UP arrow three times Press "PROGRAM", "5", "PROGRAM", "5" (the characters 04 EE should now be displayed) Press "ENTER" (the display should flash briefly) Press "RETURN" Power the player off and then back on Play a VCD!? I'll email you once I confirm that this process works. If you can wait three days, I can give you the result.
