Thank You Note

I just wanted to send out a huge thank you to Zipcar. My life has changed since joining on a few months ago - what did I ever do without it? I think you all are providing a superb alternative to Public Transportation. Now, I'm a pedestrian through and through, and public transportation is an essential part of my day-to-day living. But a quick trip to Arlington, by bus, can sometimes take me over an hour (which is really sad because I'm coming from only Somerville). Zipcar has completely transformed the way I think about my mobility. I was a slave to the T and now my shackles have turned to dust. And I think Zipcar may be opening up the avenue for other alternative transportation companies to pop up - we really are slaves to the T here in Boston if you don't own a car. Also, I wanted to say a huge thank you to the Zipcar Customer Service Department. I actually work in management at an answering service company and know first hand how difficult it is to hire, train, and keep good customer service reps. I spoke to Melinda last night - she's just the best. She provided THE BEST Customer Service I have EVER received from anywhere. If she weren't such an asset to Zipcar, I'd have asked her if she wanted a job. Keep up the excellent work. I'm so glad I live in Boston because of this service. And I also find that, when 2 Zipcars meet on some random road, the feeling is so good between those cars, and between the drivers driving them. It's like I belong to a club or something. LOVE IT!
