I don't know where Greg got his print of the 531, but I have a negative of that and also one of the 529, both from the collection of Chief Ellis. (I purchased his West Point Route diesel and rolling stock negatives several years ago.) Both are wooden, 4-window, center cupola cabs with the lettering Greg describes.

Greg, it sounds familiar, although I can't seem to locate the negative at the moment. Tom, contact me again off list and I'll try to confirm if I have it or not.

Thomas: I have a BW photo of A&WP wooden cab 531, taken in freight yard at Montgomery, 8/28/51. (Engene A. Ellis photo) Four windows, with "ATLANTA and WEST POINT RR" in middle of unit with 2 windows on each side. If I am not mistaken, I purchased it from Larry Goolsby's collection a few years ago. Larry?
