hi there! i need the dcim file of the smartmedia please if someone can help me! i do not have a second card to copy that file for one to another, but if someone can send me that file, i'll appreciate so much its a hidden file with the extension dcim

If you have no pix on the card, just format it in the camera and your DCIM folder will be generated automatically. Are you sure it is a hidden FILE with the EXTENSION DCIM? On my Nikons and Canon, the DCIM is the folder that holds the sub- folders containing the pic files. I don't know how the card appears on a Mac but on a Windows machine, DCIM is a folder and not a file.
