more respected? i think the UN brought this "lack of respect" on itself. what a joke. Kofi Annon is as ineffective a UN leader as there ever was.i think the pope should be concerned with the respectability of our Church in the world christian community.

U.N.: A dangerous game for the Catholic ChurchFrom a Catholic perspective, I don't believe it is in the best interest of the Catholic Church to propose/encourage a further empowering of the U.N. I haven't seen or read anything from the U.N. that indicates the Catholicism is greatly supported by the U.N. and the powers behind the organization. Quite the opposite is true. It's a dangerous "game" the Catholic Church is playing with the U.N.
