PROBLEM WITH VIDEO CD CARD INSTALLATION

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

I am having difficulty with my Snazzi Video CD creator card, when shifted from my Pentium III to a Pentium IV 2.8 GHz, 1gb ram,64 mb graphics. Card used to work very well with PIII, but with the new pc , it reboots as soon as the preview button is pressed, my panasonic Digital Video camera is played, o/S is Xp service pack, and the snazzi software is 2.2, model of the card is SN2100, any assistance would highly be appreciated.Panicker

This is VERY off topic for this forum. However, I have some experience with the Dazzle DVC II. I am guessing that your Snazzi uses a PCI card. Please note that with the Dazzle DVC II, there can be issues with motherboards that share IRQs and that might be what's happening with your new PC, even though you have the Snazzi and not the DVC II. Dazzle PCI cards work best in slots that don't share IRQs. You might have some luck if you move the card to a different PCI slot. You might also do a web search for a Dazzle forum. I don't remember the address any more, but there was a Dazzle forum that was pretty good and someone there might be able to help you with this issue.
