SSS3 Reports go here...

You'll want to track Spike on his flights tomorrow (Jan. 23) using one of the free flight tracker services. Spike leaves KC at 2:23 and arrives in Phoenix at 4:15 on America West Airlines flight 247.

Vegas oddsmakers are now accepting money on how many fish burritos will be consumed during SSS3.

How many fish burritos are consumed, or how many times he visits a fish burrito shop? I bet he even convinces his co-workers to eat fish burritos three times a day!

The eagle has landed! Having momentarily slipped the surly bonds of earth, an America West Boeing 737-300 touched down at Sky Harbor Airport at 4:52 HST and Spike was once again safely on the ground... but traffic out of the airport can be hell... no place for a (USOF) 40-something year old man with fish burrito dreams and a penchant for "car orienteering".

First day report - heading out to a map this morning after a stop at the Bagelry for bagels.

Spike has brought his new camera and we expect to see some interesting photos from today's activities.

On tonight's agenda - SSS3 Pizza!

Post SSS3 Report -

SSS3 began Friday, Jan 23 with a trip to Rubio's for fish burritos. It was the beginning to a rather cool and wet weekend. Some rain fell as we dined in, but the burritos were good. Spike was to treat Mook.

Saturday's activities began with a bit of breakfast from the Bagelry, and some bagels to go. We drove out to the area of o basemaps area, where Mook has been fieldchecking, and ran around 3 somewhat short courses using the basemap. Spike took some interesting photos with his new camera. By mid-afternoon, we were tired and headed back into town. Saturday's dinner was SSS3 pizza - a thick crust affair with onions and artichoke hearts. Dinner entertainment was the tape of the previous night's episode of Monk.

Sunday began with a little breakfast, then we headed out to TCMP for a run, on trails mostly, in the Brown Mountain vicinity. We were a bit tired and took it slowly. It remained cool and cloudy and a few drops fell. We wrapped up a great SSS3 with a trip to La Salsa for more fish burritos. As we retired back to Mook's trailer, we watched KU punish colorado on the ESPN news sports ticker and saw a few highlights.
